The Persian Gulf War was waged by coalition forces from 35 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq’s invasion and annexation of Kuwait.

The Vietnam War (1964-1975) was a prolonged conflict between North Vietnam, supported by its communist allies, and South Vietnam, supported by the United States and other anti-communist countries.

The Korean War (1950-1953) was fought between North and South Korea, with the United States and other UN forces supporting the South and China and the Soviet Union supporting the North.

The American Civil War (1861-1865) was primarily about slavery and states’ rights, with the northern states (Union) fighting against the southern states (Confederacy) that seceded.

The Mexican-American War (1846-1848) followed the annexation of Texas and was characterized by a series of U.S. victories that resulted in Mexico ceding a significant portion of its territory to the U.S.

The War of 1812 (1812-1815) was fought between the United States and Great Britain, stemming from U.S. grievances over British interference with American trade and impressment of American sailors.

The American Revolutionary War (1775-1783) was a conflict between Great Britain and its Thirteen Colonies in North America which declared independence as the United States of America.
